The SCC men's soccer team knocked off the No. 1 seed, East Central College in a semi-final match by a final of 4-1.  The Cougars quickly jumped on ECC right out of the gate with two quick goals.  ECC responded at the end of the first half with a goal to bring it to 2-1 entering into the second half.

The Cougars once again came out firing scoring two quick goals to make it 4-1.  The match would remain scoreless the rest of the game.  The Cougars have advanced to their second straight Region XVI championship.  They are looking to defend their title and bring another championship back to SCC.

The Cougars will take on No. 2 seed, Mineral Area College at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 30th at Engler Park which will be hosted by Mineral Area.

The winner will advance to the District Championship to take on the winner of Region 24 and look for an opportunity to reach the National Tournament.
