The SCC baseball team advanced to the regional tournament this past weekend by defeating St. Louis Community College in a two game sweep.  The Cougars won the first game, 11-8 and won the second game, 7-4, sending them to the region tournament in Joplin, MO.

The Region XVI tournament consists of four teams who will battle it out for the Region title and the opportunity to make a run in the national tournament in Grand Junction, CO.  The Cougars received the #2 seed and will take on the #3 seed (Jefferson College) in game one on Thursday, May 13th at 1:00pm.
