The SCC women's soccer team knocked off No. 1 seed and No. 12 nationally ranked, Mineral Area College during their semi-final match.  The Cougars are headed to the Region XVI championship game.  They will take on St. Louis Community College on Sunday, October 31st at 2:00pm for an opportunity to bring home the Region XVI title.  The game will be played at St. Louis CC.

The Cougars defeated Mineral Area College by a score of 1-0.  SCC scored early in the first half to take a 1-0 lead.  The Cougars then played stellar defense for the remainder of the game to hold off MAC.
