The St. Charles Community College cross country team competed in the St. Louis Fall Classic this past Saturday (10/19). The women's 5k and men's 8k were hosted by St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The field was comprised mostly of NAIA schools from all over the nation, along with one NCAA Division II school, and one other Junior College.

The top SCC finisher on the women's side was Freshman Audrey Kelly, who ran a 19:55 5k. This 5^th place finish in the field of 72 runners happens to also put her at a ranking of 5^th in the nation in NJCAA Division III. Freshman Hannah DeGraw was not too far behind, finishing 21^st and running a time of 21:47. This 5k time has Hannah ranked 15^th in the NJCAA. Stephanie Cunningham and Kristen Keene rounded out the finishers for the women's team, thus leaving them one runner short of scoring as a team.

On the men's side, Sophomore Edwin Kipainoi led the team to a 7^th place finish by taking 13^th individually in a field of 66 runners. Edwin completed his 8k race in a time of 27:56. Edwin was 7 seconds ahead of the closest junior college competitor. Freshman Todd Wollin finished 29^th place with a time of 29:01 in the first 8k of his career. Freshman Ethan Lobdell came through with a 45^th place finish in a time of 32:21. Tommy Campbell was not too far behind Ethan with a time of 33:06 bringing him to a 51^st place finish. Jordan Carter and Luke Montani were the last two scorers for the men's team, finishing 60^th and 64^th respectively.

This was the final meet of the regular season for the Cougars. St. Charles Community College is hosting Regional Championships on campus this Friday (10/25). The women's 5k race will start at 4:00PM, and the men's 8k will follow at 4:45PM. Come out and support your Cougars this week!
