After a hard fought REGION 16 CHAMPIONSHIP match that went back and forth for 90 minutes, the Cougars pulled through with a 1-0 victory over Mineral Area College. 

The win leads the Cougars to a 9 game winning streak.  Emma Anselm drilled in a beautiful goal off an excellent pass from Maria Fernandes in the 75th minute.  The Cougars team defense shut down the Cardinals and Emily Engelhardt grabbed the shutout in goal. 

SCC Women's Soccer moves to 14-2-0 and will advance to the District Playoff match on Friday, November 4th at 11:00am vs SWIC at Mineral Area College.
