The St. Charles Community College Cougars Men's Soccer team finished their 5th consecutive winning season ending with a 14-5-2 overall record. The Cougars picked up a victories over Nationally Ranked teams Rock Valley, Illinois Valley, Copiah-Lincoln, and Mineral Area and an impressive tie vs #8 St. Louis.
The Cougars won a thrilling Semi Final match vs Mineral Area in Penalty Kicks 4-3 to take a trip to the Region 16 Championship. The Cougars fell short in the Championship by a score of 1-0 to St. Louis on a goal in the final minutes.
The Cougars qualified for the 2023 Central District Championship Tournament, in which they fell short to Heartland 3-1.
SCC remained in the NJCAA National Rankings throughout the season while climbing as high as #10.
