2024 SCC Pre-Season Preview!
"Some unfinished business. That's been our motto all fall and spring! We are jacked up to get going this spring but have emphasized to our guys to enjoy the season one game at a time!" Coach Bolen's thoughts on the upcoming 2024 season after making back to the 2023 Region 16 championship for the first time since 2001. The #SCCougs look to build off of back to back 30+ win plus season for time in school history.
The #SCCougs are ready to open up next week for their 1st game of the year where they will look to build off another record breaking season at the plate! On offense, SCC is returning 7 SO's that led one of the most potent offenses in all of NJCAA baseball. Those sophomores include Grant Huebner, Ethan Edinger and Nick Beech. The #SCCougs offense were the only program in the NJCAA to steal over 250 bags and hit over 50 HR's. Dillon Smail and Luke Erickson return as well and bring some experience to the St. Charles outfield.
On the mound, the #SCCougs will return six arms that all made an impact from the 2023 pitching staff. Tyler Timmerman, Cameron Marchi, Zach Thelen and Brayden Mayer all return with at least 10+ career appearances from last years squad. Timmerman is returning after a Freshmen season that saw him make 12 starts and log 51.1 IP and log 62 K's as a member of the starting rotation.
